Pisi islands are the most eastern islands in
the Eastern Gulf of Finland. After these islands
is Russian border.
Pieni (Small) Pisi, is a privat propety, but Suuri (Big) Pisi is part of
the Eastern Gulf of
Finland National Park. Suuri (Big) Pisi has
campfire sites. Next to it, is information of national park and it´s
islands. Island's northern and north east parts are rock and there´s set
hooks for boats.
The island's banks are deep, and the Swedish king, Gustav III, was also
once at the
island on his way to St. Petersburg. As reminder there is rock-hewn
monograms (initials).
The island's northern parts suffered considerable damage summer of 2006.
Estimates
30% of trees burned. Fire was started by careless use of fire. |
